I’m a 26 year old man from Israel. I’m a very sensitive individual and always felt like something was wrong.
Even so, I was a “proud” and devout meat-eater just up until a few days which now seem like a lifetime ago. Regarding your lecture, I’ve known about it being out there for years. A life-changing experience. But I never watched it, not up until a few days ago. I think I was afraid. I think that somehow I knew that after watching you, there would be no return. No going back. There is the saying “ignorance is bliss”, but that bliss was fake. That bliss was evil. Well I’ve watched you, and now I’m building up my vegan lifestyle. I’m also quickly affecting my family members and other people. I’m dreaming about a time when Israel will be the first country ever to be comprised of a vegan population. Your lecture is the first milestone on the way to the greatest revolution mankind has ever known.

I am from Israel, in the 7th grade and just had my Bar Mitzvah last week. I made a change in the way I eat because of you.

I’m 28 years old and living in northern Israel in Kibbutz Evron. I recently graduated from a Photography and Education school in the city of Haifa. A big part of my decision to become vegan was you. i dedicated my final project in school to my beliefs about animals rights.

We are 3 vegan brothers who opened a restaurant in Tel Aviv 6 months ago because of your lecture. We heard that you are coming to Israel in December and would like to express our gratitude by inviting you to have dinner at our humble place. It will be our pleasure and privilege to have you as our guests.

I was a fish-eater for about 2 years, and a friend sent me your speech. I went vegan that night. That was a month ago. I’ve been preaching the word of vegan ever since, and the restaurant I work at introduced a vegan desert to the menu because of me. Also got 3 friends to go vegan. Please keep doing your thing. It’s working. I’ll keep spreading the word

Your now famous lecture on youtube has converted me from an enthusiastic meat-eater to a vegan about a year ago, and forever changed the way I think about other species on this earth.

I live in Haifa, Israel, and after I started following your activities, I began my vegan life. Your actions are admirable, and are very important to our coexistence with the animal world.

My best friend became vegan and when I asked her about it she told me it was “Gary Yourofsky”. I have to admit that you also changed my life for the better. Since becoming vegan, I’m much happier and more moral.

I am sincerely and honestly proud you are returning to Israel. I was born in Argentina. Eating animals was part of the gastronomic culture and habits. I was part of the purposely and systematically brainwashed citizens who never even thought or contemplated animals as living creatures. They were only food, mere objects to satisfy the palate. I was not a really a typical Argentinean because I never ate sufficient meat. And due to the fact that I am a clinical psychiatrist, it was undoubtedly easy to look at me as a weird, bizarre and strange person. I always felt that something was very and completely wrong, mistaken and misguided. The two more difficult and resistant diseases to treat are ignorance and arrogance. So, I radically changed after four events: Your teachings (for me you’re primarily and essentially a teacher), Earthlings, Peter Singer’s literature, and my wife who preceded me as a vegan. Thanks for being who you are. Perhaps form human beings we will become compassionate and merciful humane beings.
